December 6, 2014 TOC Bylaws Proposal
Current:
The MSBCF State Tournament of Champions shall occur on the Thursday and Friday after Labor Day each year with Alternate Tournament on the previous Wednesday.

Prosposed:
The MSBCF State Tournament of Champions shall occur in June and September.  The June TOC shall occur on the Thursday and Friday where Friday falls on or between the dates of June 19th and June 25th.  The September TOC shall occur on the Thursday and Friday after Labor Day.

The above proposal will be voting on at January 17 meeting.



March 1, 2014 @ March MNBN Membership meeting
Jim B and Jeff G presented possible options for the MN TOC based on meetings held by those committee members. Recognize all members, Quick presentation. In the April meeting present proposals and have discussions for some changes coming relative to the TOC. Five options:
1. Maintain the format we have today
2. Keep the same format, but move to alternative date
3. Keep the current Format, but use a rotation for the time of year
4. Have two events, one in summer one in fall.
5. Four event format.
Read document containing the above 5 options

Considerations: participation, worker flexibility, potential venue impacts, TD flexibility (multiple?), Multiple qualifying options, overall membership impact, revenue, time frame, expandability, State Champion, Cost Structure. Note: Look soon for more details about this presentation, and what else the committee has been working on.

The purpose of this group will be to look at the TOC bylaws and review them thoroughly to identify any potential updates to propose. There are lots of topics that will be discussed, from the alternates tournament, off limit days, youth participation, etc. You can contact Jim at battin.bass@comcast.net with any thoughts or suggestions.
